When I visited the DD page today, this was the first photo I saw and I immediately clicked on it. I gotta say, it's an amazingly powerful photo.

For starters, placing the words "WHO CARES?" on a girl's stomach instantly connects the idea of self-confidence, in this case, with the body. I like how you made the words large and simple, nothing fancy, to get your point across. The choice of using the color red goes well against the girl's pale skin and dark underclothing.

You stated in your comment that the "WHO" is more reserved and the "CARES?" is more 'slutty'. However, I think this aspect works quite nicely. The word 'who' relates to shyness by the fact that the word is 'quiet' when it's not used in context, almost like it's a question. Hope that makes sense... Anyway the word 'cares' refers to showing attention to a certain subject. By the "CARES?" appearing in a 'slutty' manner, it's almost as if the word itself is mocking its original meaning. This in turn really helps throw your message out there, by that I mean people shouldn't pay attention to their outside appearance but focus more of what's on the inside. That's why I feel the slutty aspect fits perfectly, it's disregarding everything.

The only negative is that "CARES?" could have been more forward, something like the girl's hands on her hips. However this would have lost your uniform look of having the girl's arms raised with her hands staying out of the picture. Now if the "WHO" had her hands around her stomach area this would have drawn attention to the word and the meaning, while in "CARES?" if you took the idea of a more confident pose(not just obvious cleavage) it would help demonstrate the entire idea of your message and still maintain a uniform approach.

After typing that I did go back and notice one other slight problem. The slutty aspect of "CARES?" might stage a problem as a double meaning. Your intentional message was that people need to stop caring on what's on the outside and focus on the inside, right? Well, the fact that she's showing cleavage causes a misinterpretation that she is caring. What I'm trying to say is that in today's media girls who want to be noticed sometimes (not always) act on the promiscuous side, often posing as such. By showing this pose of her, it seems like she is throwing herself out there, and being sexy to draw attention. However, by showing a more subtle yet confident pose (i.e. her hands on her hips) you could fully communicate your message clearly.

Hope this all made sense and is of help to you. Overall excellent idea and great concept. Being a young woman I can totally relate to this by the fact I tell myself it shouldn't matter, but so hard to believe that in today's world. The message you have sent can relate not only young girls and women, but everyone. We judge most commonly though appearances, and form stereotypes and prejudices to certain people. It's time this message be acknowledged globally, for with it, we could live a better future.
